Nestled in the heart of downtown Wilmington Vermont, Alpenglow Bistro exudes a feeling of warmth, friendliness, and a sense of belonging which guests experience in our cozy and sumptuous mountain abode.
Our menu feels like a slice of the Alps in the Green Mountains with influences from Switzerland, Germany, Austria and France. Enjoy our delectable drink menu including cafe favorites, international single malt whiskey, cognac and ports.

Mountain scenes adorn the walls, while soft fabrics dress the comfy chairs. Our fireplace lounge provides a cozy respite from the cold, and in the warmer months our street-level patio invites guests to relax, sip champagne and watch the world go by!

Owner Susan Motyl and her daughter, General Manager Raquel Smith, have poured their hearts into creating a warm, inspired Alpine atmosphere, one that invites you to settle in, share a meal, and make lasting memories.
Alpenglow is the natural phenomenon that bathes snow-covered mountain peaks in a rosy pink glow at sunrise and sunset. Often seen across the Alps, it captures the warmth, beauty, and sense of wonder that inspire our bistro.
Stretching through Switzerland, Italy, France, Austria, Germany, and beyond, the Alps are home to a rich tapestry of culinary traditions. Our menu celebrates the flavors of these regions while bringing a distinctly Willmington, Vermont spirit to the table.
